Beginning as a bottleneck blues player Phillip has branched out to encorporate a wide range of musical styles into his playing. His dazzling technique showcases carefull study of such world slide guitar stlyes as Hindustani slide guitar, bluegrass dobro amd Hawiian lap steel, deftly combined with a strong grounding in traditional music of the British Ilses. Phillip is also a fiery harmonica player, heavily influenced by Sonny Terry.
With hints of PJ Harvey and Cat Power, Erinn Williams' is both ethereal and earthy, soothing yet unsettling. Her debut album 'Digging in the Dirt' combines acoustica, folk, electronica and rich orchestral arrangements to stunning effect. Having charmed Bristol audiences on her last visit, Erinn makes a welcome return to the city for a second intensely intimate performance.
